CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Litton Marine Systems is supplying navigation, steering and communications equipment for a new 51-meter buoy tender being built for the Northern Lighthouse Board.

Litton will supply a complete integrated bridge system (IBS) with ECDIS, BridgeMaster E 250 and 340 radars, GPS, gyrocompass, magnetic compass, adaptive autopilot, echosounder, dual-axis doppler speed log and a GMDSS A3 communications station. Litton will also provide support for installation and integration of the total system, as well as service and training.

The 1,100 grt vessel (Hull 709) is under construction at Ferguson Shipyard on the Clyde and is scheduled for delivery in September 2000. It is classed by Lloyd's Register and will operate under the UK flag.
