CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Litton Marine Systems has been awarded a contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to supply navigational radars for 19 support vessels in service with the Royal Navy and British Army.

The ships will be fitted with Decca BridgeMaster E 180 X-band navigational radars with color EPA display. The contract, which was awarded as the result of an open competitive tender, covers installation, commissioning, trials and onboard operator training. Installations will be completed by the end of June 2000.

The radars will be supplied by Litton's Decca Marine subsidiary in New Malden, UK. Decca is a leader in the design, manufacture and installation of navigational radar systems, and BridgeMaster series radars have been sold to more than 90 international navies over the years.
