Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit has been awarded a contract from P&O Ferries to supply a machinery automation and alarm system for the ferry Pride of York.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Litton Marine Systems has won an order from Thomson-CSF Signaal to provide navigation radar systems for three new fast attack craft to be built for the Hellenic Navy.

Signaal is the supplier to UK shipbuilder Vosper Thornycroft of the Combat System for the three 62m Super Vita fast attack craft, which will be built at Elefsis Shipbuilding and Industrial Enterprises in Greece under a cooperation agreement with the designer Vosper Thornycroft.

The ES 5000 from Litton Marine Systems is a type-approved marine echosounder that provides accurate depth readings in shallow to deep waters.

The ES 5000 displays a graphic readout of the depth and bottom contour on a bright, clear high-resolution LCD screen. It also shows a continuous display of other relevant navigation data, and stores the last 24 hours of data, together with position information. Serial data interfaces provide output of depth data and input of time, date and position in NMEA 0183 format.

Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit today announced that its Decca BridgeMaster E marine radars have been type accepted by QinetiQ for display of Automatic Identification System (AIS) data in accordance with the technical provisions of the International Maritime Organization Circular SN/Circ. 217.

"The BridgeMaster E is one of the first marine radars to be type accepted for display of AIS data," said John Robinson, who heads Sperry Marine's radar business group.
