Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine: wins BAE Systems Maritime Customer Focus Award 2014
 

London, United Kingdom: Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine receives the Customer Focus Award 2014 from BAE Systems Maritime. BAE Systems Maritime recognises the Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine, UK Defence Programme Team, on Astute Class Submarines for innovation, creativity and inspiration - working towards improvements on all levels.

Under a Performance Partnering  Arrangement (PPA), Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine is the supplier of an Integrated Platform Management System for Astute Class Boats 4, 5, 6 and 7. Sharing plans, information and engineering innovation underpinned the success of this relationship and benefited the Ministry of Defence through, for example, the provision of substantial cost savings by the bulking of orders for Boats 6 and 7 and management of through life contract changes.
 

Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine: receives 2013 IEC 1906 Award
 

Charlottesville, United States of America: David Blevins received on behalf of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine, the 2013 IEC 1906 Award from the US National Committee, for his work on international standards (IEC/TC 80). Scott McCrory, Business Director of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine, said: "The dedication from David Blevins to Sperry Marine has allowed us to be recognised as one of the leaders and key drivers in the maritime industry and benefits the entire marine community making sea lanes safer for all vessels."

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Award was initiated in order to recognise Experts who have contributed in an exceptional way to the technical work of IEC. For the officers and membership of the USNC Council extended their sincere appreciation and thanks for the work all experts have accomplished.
