CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Litton Marine Systems (LMS), a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC), has supplied a complete suite of navigation, machine control and stabilization systems for the new European Ambassador, which recently entered service on the Liverpool-Dublin route.

Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit has received type approval from the U.S. Coast Guard for the VoyageMaster Voyage Data Recorder (VDR).

The Coast Guard type approval certifies that the VoyageMaster system meets or exceeds all requirements for shipboard VDR equipment to meet the International Maritime Organization (IMO) carriage requirements. The system has also been type approved by Det Norske Veritas in Norway, QinetiQ in the United Kingdom, BSH in Germany and numerous other national authorities.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has received a full-rate production contract from the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command for its AN/SPQ-9B shipboard radar systems, which will enhance detection and tracking of high-speed threats such as sea-skimming anti-ship missiles.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Litton Marine Systems has won a contract to supply navigation radars for four new Hellenic Navy gunboats.

The radar contract was awarded to Litton by Thomson-CSF Signaal, which is the primary combat systems contractor for the four new vessels being built at the Hellenic Shipyard Co., Skaramanga. The first of the new gunboats will be delivered to the Hellenic Navy starting in mid-2002.
