Each of the ships was fitted with dual interswitched Decca BridgeMaster E 340 X-band and S-band ARPA radars, a BridgeMaster E 250 docking radar, an LMX 406 GPS receiver and twin Sperry Marine SR180 MK1 gyrocompasses with repeaters.

The DNV type approval certifies that the Litton ECDIS complies with international specifications including that of IMO A.817 (19) and IEC 61174.

The three 21,200 grt feeder-type car carriers, Hulls 1184-1186, are being built for UECC (Norway) AS at Tsuneishi Shipbuilding, for delivery in 2000 and 2001.
