Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) unveiled its new iFleet suite of marine information technology (IT) solutions at the SMM maritime exhibition in Hamburg, Germany, last week.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has supplied the advanced Integrated Bridge System and Voyage Management System electronic charting software for the first U.S. Navy ship authorized to navigate using Digital Nautical Charts (DNC) supplied by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a delivery order for the fifth year of a five-year contract to provide technical, logistics and material support for navigation systems installed on U.S. Navy ships and submarines.

The delivery order, valued at $15.5 million, was awarded to Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit by Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, Pa., under a firm fixed-price performance-based logistics (PBL) contract.

The Gyro and Inertial Navigation Systems Support Center has been built to provide cost effective through life support to worldwide Naval Gyro and INS customers. It represents a significant investment by Sperry Marine to reduce customer logistics costs, spares turnaround times and maintains full availability of systems throughout the fleet.
