CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Litton Marine Systems (LMS), a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC), has supplied a complete suite of bridge electronics for the new Ro-Pax ferry Stena Hollandica, which was recently delivered from the AESA shipyard in Puerto Real, Spain.

The Stena Hollandica, like its sister ship Stena Brittanica commissioned in October 2000, was equipped with a Litton integrated bridge system. The installation includes dual Decca BridgeMaster E ARPA radars, Sperry Marine VMS-VT Voyage Management System and type approved ECDIS, gyrocompass, magnetic compass, dual axis speed log, echosounder, adaptive autopilot, steering gear control system, DGPS, Loran-C, weather instruments, DNV watch alarm, external sound surveillance system, uninterruptable power supply and Litton's new Voyage Data Recorder with hardened data capsule.

The installation and commissioning were overseen by Aeromarine & Electronics International, S.A., Litton's licensed representative in Spain.

The Stena Hollandica was placed into service on the Hoek van Holland-Harwich route March 9. The 33,300 grt ship flies the Dutch flag and has a capacity for
400 passengers and 160 lorries.
