CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -- Litton Marine Systems, a unit of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC), has been awarded orders to supply integrated bridge systems (IBS) for seven new ships being built in Poland.

The 27,000- gross-ton bulk/container carriers are being built at Gdynia Shipyard for Westwood Shipping Company, with deliveries set for 2002-2003. There is an option for one additional ship, in addition to the initial seven-ship order.

The scope of equipment comprises a Navigat 2100 fiber optic gyrocompass and attitude reference system, a Navigat X MK 1 backup gyrocompass, a Navitwin III compass monitor and two Navipilot AD II self-tuning adaptive autopilots, along with repeaters, indicators, interfaces and cabling.
