Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit has received a significant Process Maturity Level rating in an assessment conducted by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The assessment was performed on the software engineering processes for integrated navigation systems and ship machinery control systems.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a contract by the Naval Sea Systems Command to supply navigation radar sets and associated systems engineering for 10 U.S. Navy submarines.

The company's Sperry Marine business unit will deliver AN/BPS-16 (V) 4 navigation radar sets for six Virginia-class attack submarines and four guided-missile submarines. Deliveries will begin in late 2005 and continue through 2010 if all options are exercised.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded current-year options totaling $16.6 million under a multi-year contract from the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command for full-rate production of AN/SPQ-9B anti-ship missile-defense radars. The radars will enhance the ability of Navy ships to defend against fast, low-flying threats.
